I 'm a freelance writer, editor and creative storyteller living in San Jose, California with my cat and a couple of hummingbirds. It's a long way from my native New Jersey, where I spent my entire life a new beginning. In writing, as in life, sometimes you need to scrap your early drafts and start fresh. Finding the right words takes patience and focus, eliminating extraneous verbiage until your text conveys the precise meaning. As a communications specialist, I can draw upon an eclectic mix of consumer product and real-world experience to bring fresh perspective to creating content. I've counseled clients in diverse industries on their day-to-day and long-term communication strategies and brand image, adapting my writing style to align with their corporate voice or to cater to a particular writing format. Give me a keyboard with a screenor even just a pen and paperand I can make words shine. If you're a business with content (digital or analog), you know it needs nursing, kneading, no doubt, before it's ready to post. I'll get the kinks out; I'm a word masseuse.

As passionate as I am about words and putting them together, I’m also an avid long-distance runner and fitness enthusiast. I’ve competed in 33 road marathons and counting. I’ve started exploring the trails in my new state, running and hiking up hills, always conscious – and nervous – of lurking wildlife. I’m dedicated to health and nutrition; and I’m a skillful cook and baker, a legacy I inherited from the matriarchs in my family.

You can read posts in the fitness blog I’ve been contributing to here, the animal rescue blog posts here, look at samples of work I’ve done for former agency clients here and read my other writing styles here and here.

My original blog stories are here. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on subjects dear to me, including: running and fitness; cooking, baking and food; health and nutrition; animal care and rescue; loss and grief; writing and other ramblings. I’m writing a memoir (it’s going to take some time) and will share excerpts for reader feedback.
